Thank you for the great care my daughter receives at Tree of Life Day Care! It is a blessing and a relief to have found a place where she seems happy and well cared for! She was very unhappy at the place she was going to before but could never tell me why.

  • My daughter is happy.
  • The teachers are caring and attentive. E.g. They have time to greet or have a few words with each child and/or parent.
  • There is order. E.g. In the random times I have arrived, there are never kids running around wild or crying unattended, nor have I had to try to track down a teacher to talk to or find missing items.
  • There regularly seems to be "extra" activities (eg. egg coloring at Easter, cookie baking, painting ships, etc etc)

My four year old daughter "blew me away" tonight! I am so excited that I have to share the news...My husband was working late so I did the bedtime story routine...and picked up a library book that her preschool teacher recommended, "Bob Books". She proceeded to read several stories from the book to me !!!!!!! And I am fairly certain she has never seen the book before (i.e. not memorized the words). It has short sentences of permutations of simple 3 letter words. When we went on to the Bible story book she was also reading the easier words. I was ecstatic and she was very pleased with herself, too. I knew she was showing signs of interest and readiness, but didn't know she was that advanced already. Thank you!

I am excited to write about the countless ways that Tree of Life Day Care approaches childcare that has changed my son's life. I am afraid that the list would be too long to detail everything, so I offer only the highlights and my sincerest appreciations.

My son had been struggling with his previous caregivers. His teachers and caregivers were certain that he needed to be medicated for hyperactivity. He had become convinced that "his brain was bad" and that he would never know how to share with his friends. His ego was damaged to the point that he barely tried to get along with other children.

Since he has been in Tree of Life Day Care, I have seen a remarkable change in him. He is more confident in offering his opinion and is asserting his desires in a pleasant way. His social skills with other children his age have remarkably improved, as well as his cause-and-effect thought process. I am in awe of the direction Tree of LIfe Day Care has guided him.

He does not feel ashamed to be himself anymore. He has found the ability to express the love he feels more freely. I receive hundreds more hugs and "presents" from his room every week since Tree of Life Day Care has been working with him.

It is impossible to fully express my gratitude to Tree of Life Day Care. They are truly blessed with a gift.

Being at Tree of Life Day Care has been a wonderful experience for my son this year. I continue to be impressed with the individual attention they give the children, the moral and classroom education, and the quality of the staff. Even as they've grown, I've seen no lack of in the level of care and attention, and I really feel blessed that he is attending. He's happy there, and that means the world to me.

I thank them for all they do.

My daughter goes to the Tree of Life daycare. We are extremely happy with the services provided – the premises are nice and clean, teachers are skillful and caring with a great touch of personality to each child. We get an ongoing feedback on our child's progress and education. Unlike the majority of daycares, Tree of Life has very little turn over of personnel and is not a corporate entity. The Director is a very positive, responsive and helpful person and makes us feel confident about the good care of our child. We have enrolled our second daughter in the daycare and she will start as soon as she turns one.

My son has been a student at Tree of Life for nearly 3 years. I love the small family atmosphere that nurtures and provides an environment that my son thrives in. Tree of Life’s wonderful staff members reinforce the same family values that I instill at home: our faith, good health, kindness towards others, responsibility, proper nutrition and hygiene. On top of all this, my son is blossoming academically and loves learning. The curriculum and activities created by the teachers at Tree of Life have prepared him very well as he transitions into full-day kindergarten this coming fall. The bond my son has made with other students and the staff are strong beyond imagine. They are like a family to us.

Whenever we pick up our grandson, who has been attending Tree of Life for 2-3 years, he is happy, engaged, and interacting enthusiastically with friends and teachers. His friends are equally happy and greet us eagerly. I love the small family atmosphere, the “whole child” approach to education, the faith based commitment and the diverse background of the students. Our grandson has made huge strides academically, but even if he were not so inclined, I think Tree of Life would be a great fit.

We're so lucky to have Devin enrolled at TOL! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our excitement with others through your website. Our son loves coming to Tree of Life Daycare. This is his home away from home, and rightfully so as they treat him like family!!

We feel truly blessed to have our daughter at Tree of Life. We knew as soon as we walked into the classroom that this was the school we wanted our daughter to spend her days in. It's nice to know that she's in great hands, that she's being taught the values that we believe in, and that the staff really care for our daughter.

Our daughter (age 3.5) has been going to Tree of Life for almost two years, and here are our favorite parts about this day care:

  • The amount of space the children have—The children have a separate lunchroom, a separate dark room for naps, a nice outdoor playground and big grassy area, wooded areas for small “hikes,” and the church upstairs for running around in on rainy days. They also sometimes play at the school playground next door.
  • All the staff—They really WANT to be there, they have lots of energy, and they love the kids. They have chosen early childhood education as their career. Turnover is low and communication with them is effortless. We also think it’s neat to have such great male role models in early childhood education (Mr. Pat, Mr. Nathan, and Mr. Mike).
  • The low ratios—The classrooms never seem too crowded, and our daughter gets a lot of individual attention.
  • The focus on health and cleanliness—Our daughter is rarely sick. We attribute a lot of this to the frequent handwashing, cleanliness of the rooms and toys, the small size of the day care, and teaching the kids about germs. They teach even the youngest children to keep their hands away from their faces, not put toys in their mouths, and to sneeze and cough into their elbows.
  • The small size of the day care and personalized education our daughter gets—Everybody knows us and says hi when we arrive, we and our daughter know the names of about all the kids, and the curriculum is tailored around each child. If a preschooler is interested in math, they will help teach it to the child. If a child is advanced or struggling in a certain area, the child can go back and forth between the rooms. Our daughter is doing a great job writing her letters, thanks to her teachers.
  • The healthy snacks and the emphasis on good nutrition—The children often bake and they put chopped spinach, pureed beans, and home-ground whole-wheat flour in the foods they cook.
  • The cost (although we tried to ignore this factor when making our decision)—Our daughter goes part-time, and tuition is less than the other centers we looked into.

“Tree of Life Day Care has been a blessing for us. Our 18 month old daughter has learned so much so quickly, and we owe it all to the talented and loving staff at Tree of Life. I think of them as our extended family, and know every day when I drop her off that she is in the best of hands. The manners they teach the young kids is unbelievable, and it’s refreshing to see the children using their new etiquette on a regular basis. This is our daughter’s home away from home, and she is filled with excitement every day we drop her off. I always look forward to see what new things she’s learned or artwork she’s created whenever I pick her up. Thank you Tree of Life Day Care, any working parent would feel at ease leaving their child in your hands.”

I just wanted to say how wonderful Tree of Life Day Care is in teaching my child!

  • I appreciate the curriculum they create because my son is now prepared for entering school. At age 3 he is starting to read and can add and subtract in his head. He is more knowledgable than most 5 year olds!
  • He always has fun at the center. The teachers are creative and care about the well being of each child.
  • The child care has a clean attitude and environment, smells fresh (not like chemical cleaners), and it's always neat and tidy because they teach the children to put their toys away when finished with them.
  • The children here are more well behaved than other centers I've been to.
  • They teach about God with the spirit of the Lord, but without doctrines. I love the Christmas play the children put on every year. I'm glad they record it and give a copy to the parents so I'll forever have the experience to watch over and over again. It is always great fun to see them perform!

    Thank you!
