Tree of Life Day Care offers your child an exciting, unique educational experience. Our philosophy is, "Children Grow and Learn by Doing." With this in mind, a day at Tree of Life Day Care actively involves your child with numerous projects in art, music, science, cooking, gardening, and other activities including: large and small muscle coordination activities, dramatic play situations, learning about God and Bible story truths, and field trips are integral to our programs! Some extracuricular activities include: piano, vocal training, dance, gymnastics, and building theme oriented projects.
Objectives:To present cultural, spiritual and aesthetic experiences which will enrich our students' lives with:
Art - To provide opportunities to use paint, playdough, and numerous other art media in fun and creative ways. To encourage each student's own unique creativity and to develop personal pride in his/her artistic achievements.
Music - To provide experiences in sound and rhythm with instruments, voice, and recordings. To experiment vocally with pitch, rhythm, and songs. To encourage the pure joy of music and worship within each student. |
Creative Dramatics - To learn self-expression in a fun and creative way. To allow each child to act out feelings and moods in a guided environment. To give opportunity to act out bible stories and the lessons learned from them.

Blocks and various related toys - To use in conjunction with the blocks for imaginative play, math development, problem solving, and coordination.

Stories and sharing experiences - To encourage language development and a love of literature.

Science - To discover basic "cause and effect" relationships in the environment and to use this knowledge to broaden each student's concepts of life. To encourage a respect for our world and an attitude of stewardship.
Cooking experiences - To foster self-confidence, math and science concepts, and nutritional values. To provide a wide variety of materials for experimenting and learning.
Field Trips - To give the children opportunities to experience both familiar and foreign situations in deliberate and unhurried arrangements. To instill confidence in each child's ability to meet new situations and cope. To broaden each child's view of his/her world.
Citizenship - To encourage a sense of community responsibility and an attitude of positive action by which each of us can make a difference.

Large and small group activities - To aid in developing social skills, cooperative play, and to teach listening and direction following skills.
| |
Parents - The best piece of equipment any of us has! To involve parents in their child's education by including them on a regular basis in the classroom and keeping them informed about their child.
