Tree of Life Day Care is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving Kingsgate and Totem Lake neighborhoods, and the surrounding cities of Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, Woodinville, Bellevue, and Snohomish. They are conveniently located next to John Muir Elementary School in the King’s Gate Fellowship Church. Situated on approximately four acres with one and a quarter acres in woods, children can explore trails and enjoy territorial views. The Children's Garden is currently being developed and expanded. It allows the children to experience growth from seed to abundance on the table. The garden teaches them about life and healthy eating habits. The center has a conservative teacher/child ratio (ten children or less per room/one teacher per 5 children), which gives each child the individual attention they need to flourish and grow into a healthy mature person.
Mission: To supply quality full time childcare for working parents.
Goals: The child will learn academics, problem solving and social skills, healthy personal care routines, a positive self-image, creativity, and independence.
Vision: Life coaching for the child’s total development, including the relationship between each child, family and God, and the quality of life experiences. This vision acknowledges there are overlapping cultures, that they differ, and that all cultures deserve respect. The staff at Tree of Life Daycare creates an atmosphere of a family that helps the child feel included and important.
Tree of Life Day Care is Christian based and they accept all faiths into the center. They are a partnership of God, teachers, and parents committed to providing an excellent education while fostering a sense of belonging and developing in children self-confidence, hope, citizenship, and a joy for living, learning and loving. The nurturing Christian environment is founded on shared commitments to teach through modeling: respect, honesty, wisdom, faithfulness, compassion, responsibility, and resourcefulness-a legacy of core values.
